Trump closed his remarks with a pledge “to bring back religion to America, because without borders, law and order and religion, you really don’t have a country anymore.” The slogan of fascist Italy was more concise: Dio, Patria, Famiglia.

It’s just baffling to me that anyone could believe Trump is a Christian, or even remotely religious at all.

I knew he wasn’t when he had his goons clear the protesters from the park so he could have a photo shoot in front of that church during his first term. You could see the bible was burning his hand from the way he was holding it.

Trump believes in religion in which the deity is Donald John Trump, first of his name. And if he wasn’t the first of his name, he is now.

He is the second coming of Jesus, of course he’s religious!

We all know how Jesus hugged the business men inside Ethel church and how he couldn’t keep his peenis out of little children, oh, that Jesus, that happy go lucky scoundrel. He even looks better now!

An excuse that a lot of them use is that “God used bad people to do good things all the time in the Bible.”

Cyrus was one character who I remember seeing frequently in those discussions.

It’s not the whole of Christianity, but it’s an infection that’s spread through a lot of it.

I used to volunteer at PFLAG where a pastor who also volunteered there was sponsoring a refugee into the country. At a different point in my life I drank with a man who was very vocal about how supportive his pastor wife was of his bisexuality. Hell my childhood catholic priest told my father to quit being a bigot about me being trans.

I struggle to trust any given Christian, and part of the problem we face is the privileged position Christianity holds in society, but there are Christians resisting the evil. There are progressive protestants opening their doors to all people and catholic workers martyring themselves for leftist causes even today.

I grew up in a protestant Christian church in northern Europe. Nothing but love and preaching about acceptance and inclusion. Lots of work sending aid to people in need in Africa. Lots of focus on Africa, I remember.

I grew up and kind of out of the religious aspects of the church, but I will always live by the values that were upheld in church, about inclusion and acceptance and everyone’s equal value, and right to live and love, etc. Also love for homosexual people and other such minorities in society. People with addiction etc.

This church has not veered from its roots a single bit since then.

Not all religion is bad, but there will always be loud and bad people who twist things out of proportion, unfortunately. I’m Christianity, in Islam, in Judaism, everywhere.

    Ah, yes, borders.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/trump-canada-border-1.7528269

U.S. President Donald Trump repeated one of his favourite talking points in his meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney Tuesday, saying the Canada-U.S. border is an “artificially drawn line.”

“Somebody drew that line many years ago with, like, a ruler — just a straight line right across the top of the country,”

Fuck trump. Fuck charlie kirk’s rotting corpse. Fuck the fascist regime.

To the surprise of absolutely no one. What a god damn farce this was. Cannot wait for the day the scattered remains of MAGA tries to do the same with his bloated corpse.
