Wait so your exercise is recharging your electric bike so you can essentially ride harder at home and get good exercise and still coast relatively easily to work??
That’s awesome…

That’s awesome!
I tried to quit tech in 2020, started in food service, and then COVID hit…
…so I’m still in tech.

Also startups are notorious for 7-day work weeks because they’re…well…startups.

They were trialing it, yeah, turned out to be successful so they’re permanizing it

If/when Signal has complied historically, they hand over what they have…which is to say, pretty much nothing.
I’ll take Signal any day over private Facebook chat, Whatsapp, or even telegram.
Super early on I mined probably 500+ bitcoin.
And later in life sold them all at various points for maybe a total sum of $8k.
So, yeah.

My immediate response to everyone around me when that commercial aired was a loud, “fuck no” followed by a, “if any of you get one I will no longer visit”.

Uh…anywhere? There are plenty of alternatives that are less bloated and less shitty and faster.
I honestly don’t even know why people use it.

The only time this breaks down for me though is that I still struggle to pay $0.99 for a mobile app I use often sometimes. Really not sure what it is.
Luckily she’s hardly that way. She’s actually got really bad guilt about it and has wanted to abandon things just to work a paying job so she can tell people that’s what she does.
That’d be awesome.
Oh, yes, she does a lot, but for opsec reasons I’m not really providing details.
She just doesn’t get paid to do it, call it hobbies mostly.

All the other shit aside, it bothers me that so many areas now rely on Starlink, handing Elon the keys to just cut access for whomever whenever.
People feel weird about it, but it’s perfectly fine.
My wife doesn’t work a paying job, we don’t have kids, but in almost every conversation when I’m meeting someone when they ask what my wife does and I tell them, they always follow it up with like, “Oh does she work from home?” or “Oh, does she sell stuff online?”
It often breaks their brain that she doesn’t work a paid job.

Compound it with Trump taking over the federal reserve.

My guess is that because OpenAI is the worst of the AI offerings in the industry, NVIDIA is trying to reposition themselves with other companies that are worthwhile.
OpenAI is garbage. It is the household name, but not the go-to solution (in my anecdotal experience).
OpenAI has positioned themselves well as the…Kleenex of AI (where the brand name becomes the sort of…name) but they just aren’t good.
God the US is such a giant piece of shit and fuck Palantir.
