Data obtained by the Star shows Uber Eats’ platform can offer two food couriers different wages for the exact same trip.
Labour advocates charge that the app collects data on driver behaviour and can use it to decide who it can pay at a lower rate, allowing the company to pocket the difference and boost its revenue. This concept is widely referred to as algorithmic wage discrimination.

Oh is this new lore?
The great .ml vs .ee drama?
This is incredible.
Thanks for taking the time to take more screenshots.
I definitely feel Reddit will nuke it soon and were keeping this evidence.
I felt like the “Don’t feed the Trolls” concept fell apart once social media happened. I remember it dying in the mySpace era and when Facebook came along, you can say “The earth is flat” and get a thousand comments
The post.
I’m not linking to the Reddit garbage.
No.
Don’t let the terrorists win.

Still deleted for me.
I shared the direct link, which is unlisted.
If you visit that subreddit, you will not be able to see it/won’t exist anywhere without that direct link

Except they sometimes leave out the expert.
Politics in my sci-fi? Yuck.
Gonna go enjoy my politics-free shows like Star Trek, Star Wars, Black Mirror, Westworld, and The Man In the High Castle.
The left side also includes working out, having positivity posters, and a cup that says Rise And Grind.
The right could include a Doordash logo and a hot goth girl.
Joke aside, I don’t want a tourist to end up in Waffle House because of misinterpreting the meme and end up stabbed trying to convince the coked up cook to do a little show.
Eh? Whoever made this either went to a unique one or don’t know what they’re talking about.
Waffle Houses are not spectacles. They’re as basic as they come. Basic seating. A gal who calls you “suga” and a mute cook who doesn’t give you eye contact. You might be able to see the grill if you’re sitting at the bar. But that’s like saying you can see the grill at your McDonald’s.
People go there because you can get a cheap breakfast for like $3.18 cents.
It’s not good. It’s not bad. It’s not anything.

ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.netto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK Snopes.com was taken over by investors41·8 months agoWho is to say that Snopes was the gold standard?
On August 13, 2021, BuzzFeed News published an investigation by reporter Dean Sterling Jones that showed David Mikkelson had used plagiarized material from different news sources in 54 articles between 2015 and 2019 in an effort to increase website traffic.[
The shareholder that became a CEO had owned a huge chunk of snopes for years. They just made it official.
Sorry to ask: can you include a summary?
I don’t often get time to watch videos, even short ones.
I never reflected on this but I think I do the same.
Nice people are appreciated, but forgettable.
The girl who shows you her pet dog she carries in her purse at a bar… That’s a friend for life.
Looks like the Canadian connections are happening
