8·2 months agoRenewables make so much sense for a poor country, the only barrier is and has been initial setup cost - but a ton of solar panels, over their thirty year lifespan, will be much cheaper and far more reliable than an equivalent amount of coal or gas in generators.

Should be noted that Europe had commons for hundreds and hundreds of years before they all got enclosured and they managed them just fine with local-level spontaneous democracy.
