Games@lemmy.world•Ron Gilbert cancels RPG project due to lack of support and fundingEnglish
10·20 days agoI still enjoy Yahtzee on Second Wind since the whole Escapist debacle. They seem to be trying to stoplight more indie games which I really appreciate.

Games@lemmy.world•Day 440 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish
2·3 months agoI’ve been wanting to tryout all these N64 decompiles see if they are an improvement to emulation.
Actually looks really easy to setup the Mario Kart one

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - September 2025
2·3 months agoDon’t think I noticed in Hollow Knight, but there is definitely less input lag for the Proton/Windows version of Silksong when docked.

5·4 months agoSilksong ftw.
I had issues with my 8bitdo controllers right trigger acting stuck (would keep running). Seems like a bug with the Linux version. Changed compatability to Proton Experimental and everything runs great now.

Games@lemmy.world•It Takes Two developer's next project name and release date leaksEnglish
3·1 year agoI hated the story, but the game play and world building was amazing.
spoiler
I was so disappointed that the ending could have had a more intricate, nuanced arc instead of “maybe we could move back together,” parent trap shit

3·1 year agoMakes me nostalgic for when everyone agreed that killing Nazis was good clean fun. (Or am I too old now since I’m thinking of pre Mondern Warfare?)

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Google now requires JavaScriptEnglish
14·1 year agoHtmx does use javascript under the hood, but just makes it so the developer can use html markdown for more a more interactive environment that’s driven sever side. So the initial page load should render, but UI elements might not work as intended.
htmx is more a move back to REST as it was originally defined (aka not json backend).

There won’t be a big WAN Show segment about this or anything
The starting line really puts me off. I don’t really care much about the tech content but find their videos entertaining.
I have un-subscribed from all their channels and will see how much this video is addressed in the next WAN before I decide if to continue to watch their content at all going forward.

Technology@lemmy.world•The Reddit Protest Is Finally Over. Reddit Won.English
3·2 years agoWell put. I think there was permanent damage done to user’s trust, but don’t see many of the smaller subreddit communities migrating away yet.
I worry that Lemmy is even more an echo chamber with a handful of default communities, I hope it grows to the point where I don’t feel obligated to join the popular communities so there is actual content to scroll through.

You should read “The Roads Must Roll” short story by Robert Heinein. He takes this idea to a whole nother level.
