3·9 months agoSettlers2 with the Return to Roots together with RCT2 (OpenRCT) as well as Supreme Commander are still racking up hours of my free time
There are some vehicles that go on iron wheels, on a special kind of iron road that are very efficient. Only bad parts are costly initial investment and difficulties to scale up if the existing network gets overloaded (such as the Swedish rail system who has been over “maximum” capacity for a long time which has put needed maintenance on hold at many places)

But it should be, since the mountain range that gives Scandinavia its name does stretch into Finland
5·9 months agoI promise you that if you collect 10 random people and ask them what Ohms law is, at most you get 5 that knows it’s something about electricity. You are lucky if you have one that knows it.

We never had that kind of ads in our books, they came in catalogues I sadly never got to order from even if the "make your own radio"kit with crystal always looked awesome

51·10 months agoIf people only listened to their gut all people from a different culture which similar but not same body language as well as people with a disability would be even more estranged than today.
What does your gut tell you about the guy in line at the tell who keeps his hand in his pockets and fiddling with something who then seem to panic a bit when someone tries to look him in the eyes? Is it a robber or an autistic person who don’t want to show his hand due to having a stim toy and have learned to not stim in public view?

In my town we had a huge outbreak of cryptosporidium which poisoned all tap water in the city, so no matter regulations no place is guaranteed safe. That’s why you test stuff. If anyone find unhealthy results you need to contain, treat and inform to minimize damage and exposure risk

Only time I’ve had raw milk was when I was a kid and visited farming friends, since they had a pitcher in the fridge from that days milking. They used it in cooking usually, but it wasn’t that bad to drink.
The laws regarding cow and milk health is way different in Sweden that most other countries though, very strict routines around testing. We can eat raw eggs from the store.
