I saw this scene in Avengers: Endgame
The person in the image in the OP also says “You’re an immature child” in their response. So the person you responded to was just joking, presumably
I’ve never seen a kid without a phone attached

Elgenzay@lemmy.mlto Gaming@lemmy.world•Responsible Adult say no to Store Exclusive.English104·9 months agoOne reason is that the Epic Games revenue split gives more to the developers. That being said though, they do enter exclusivity agreements with publishers all the time, which is anti-consumer.
But MudMan’s comment was more about how the meme denounces store-exclusive games, yet games that are available only on Steam are also store-exclusive.
GOG is a bit of an outlier. They allow developers to list their games DRM-free so their customers can truly own their games. If store exclusivity is the problem, GOG is the solution - not Steam.
Elgenzay@lemmy.mlto Gaming@lemmy.world•Responsible Adult say no to Store Exclusive.English34·9 months agoI remember when Metro Exodus was about to release, Epic bought them out and they made the game unpurchasable on Steam after people already preordered. So only those who preordered were able to play on Steam for the first year after release. Valve left this statement on the store page.
You must have a lot of gold necklaces
They necro’d a reply of mine as well with a similar statement, and I never even suggested any sort of stance or affiliation on the topic. I didn’t respond.
I recommend CrossCode, if you haven’t tried it. It’s a top-down twinstick shooter/fighter so the gameplay is comparable to some of those you’ve listed and the story is long and unforgettable, with tons of fun optional content. Probably my favorite game narrative; there’s nothing like it.
Some other favorites of mine are Revita, but there’s little in terms of story, and Outer Wilds, but it’s a slow burn. And if you’re looking for games to play with friends, these are some of my favorite multiplayer indie games:
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Roboquest
- Gunfire Reborn
- Don’t Starve Together
- Risk of Rain 2
(Also Starbound, Terraria, & Core Keeper but those are bigger time investments)
Do you play indie games often? Most of my favorite gaming experiences have come from indie studios. They put more love into them
You’re doing everything you can to push well-meaning people away lol

The first big jump lines up with the Reddit API Controversy. The June 2025 rise and fall is users migrating from lemm.ee, and then their previous accounts becoming inactive. I imagine the other irregularities are from similar events
