And last time they settled on Trump who didn’t have any support inside the party. So what makes you think they can’t settle on MTG now? Clearly they don’t look on how many committees someone is sitting.

Who in the party supported Trump during his first campaign? The whole party was against him. Until he won.
(edit: technically his second campaign)
Have you seen her?
Yeah, no…“always”. Technology like humanoid robots, is never going to get cheap enough to replace low-paid manual labor.
That’s definitely not a rule. Just because so far we managed to keep manual labor dirt cheap doesn’t mean it always have to be like that. Tariffs, migration policy, social programs and so on, all affect the cost of labor. Move all the production back to developed countries while limiting immigration and the costs of labor might increase to the point where humanoid robots make sense.
I’m not saying that this will happen, only that we definitely can’t say it won’t.
You want to hear something scary? The most likely candidate to take over MAGA movement is MTG.
Israel isnt about territory and empire builiding outside of its immediate periphery, its just about aggressively neutralizing everything that they even remotely think will be a threat to them now or in 30 years.
For me they are exactly like smaller Nazi Germany. They are a small country so theirs ambitions are local (it would be insane for them to try projecting power outside of the region) but they are all about expansion, racism and extermination of weaker neighbors. Germany fought WW II to regain their position after humiliation of WW I and Israel is establishing their position after holocaust (exactly like you said, by brutally eliminating any threats). Russia is still Russia. Israel is the new Germany. But that just my opinion.
If passed this law will also ban single used vapes which is fucking amazing. Those things are the dumbest invention ever.
If you’re outside, it’s ok to smoke.
Absolutely not. Smoking stinks. I don’t want to smell it. And why should I? Because you’re addicted I should be looking for a safe space and you should be able to stink up any place you want? Hell no!
And yes, we do police other annoying public behaviors, not just the harmful ones. Leaving dog shit on the sidewalk doesn’t cause cancer yet you will get a fine for it. You can’t talk on a phone on an airplane. You can’t drink in public. Or where do you live things like that are not being policed?
I don’t think area is a fair criteria. Israel is a way smaller country but they are expanding in every possible direction. They expanded “buffer zones” in Syria (basically invaded and now occupy it, and that’s beyond Golan) and Lebanon and are stealing land on the West Bank. They also regularly bomb Yemen, Iran and have now bombed Qatar among many others. So far Russia only invaded Ukraine and Georgia. So yes, the area is smaller but Israel is way more aggressive in their pursuit of Lebensraum.
I don’t know who drinks this shit. Just have some wine.
I realized the right is going to win the next elections. Poland was already very conservative. Religion was everywhere, no same sex marriage or civil unions, widespread homophobia, limited access to abortion, complicated divorce process, no living will laws and so on. And from the polls it was clear that not only nothing will change but it will get worse. I moved to one of the most progressive countries in EU (Spain) and for the next 10 years things in Poland did get worse so I was 100% right about that.
Overall I think relocating is complicated. Your values and perspective change over time, places change over time. The grass is always greener on the other side kind of thing. On one hand it’s definitely nice to live in a country I’m not disgusted by. My governments is one of the most vocal supporters of Palestine, progressive policies are passed all the time. Not to mention I prefer the weather, nature, culture and general vibe of the place. The “but” is that future looks pretty bleak everywhere so who knows what will happen in the next 10-20 years. But I guess I can always move back if necessary and having more options is also a good thing.
Perfectly said.
Totally agree but the first point should have been done 3 years ago and we should have been on point 3 since the first rockets fell in Poland which was like 2 years ago. Now we should be on point 4, not starting to think about the first one.
Yeah, for me the troops releasing drones from Belarus are a legitimate target now. Sadly I’m not in charge of NATO.
What about Israel?
Yes, all those issues are real. I was only talking about “learning for the sake of learning” criticism. I was force to memorize stupid poems in school that I soon forgot but even this lets you practice memory. Big part of education is just showing you how to decide which information is relevant, where to find it and how to memorize stuff. It doesn’t work when everything else is broken but just forcing people to memorize things is not an issue in itself.
I’ve been saying for years that NATO should state that any attacks near its borders are a red line. Any aerial attacks on Lviv should have triggered NATO response and deployment of troops in Ukraine to provide air cover for territories close to NATO borders. This is exactly why. If you let Russia attack Lviv they will eventually attack NATO. Sadly they didn’t care enough about the war to do anything. Will see if this changes now.
Yeah, I’ve seen this movie already: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11542920/
Everyone else learns it for these exams and nothing else
A big part of learning is to learn how to learn. Without learning just for exams it’s hard to learn useful things later in life.
Ever heard about supply?
