  • Name the last metroidvania that was that themed and had good fight mechanics before hollow knight?

Cause axiom verge had been like a 100% clone of metroid and Dust came out in 2012 almost a decade earlier.
Hollow Knight was for a lot of people their first Metroidvania that tried to create its own thing and stuck to openworld of metroidvanias while letting you use different mechanics to move forward to bot make it linear.

Its beloved cause its honestly a rare game type.

  • Yes.

The rich used to take the same transport as the rest of us. They could be in a separate car on the train but they were still attached. Then they got automobiles and could drive on their own and we built highways to connect their favorite places. But can only get so far and planes were invented. Now they are stuck with the poors again but up in first class.

Now they have private jets and all the roads full of the regular people, the trains and the planes. They remote in or call in from their cellphone instead of being in the actual office.

The wealthy dont live like the rest of us anymore. And their social group is much more carefully curated to not let us in. They dont want to know regular people.

  • I had that happen after I told the IT manager who always showed up drunk that his flash drives weren’t working because he couldn’t expect to buy an 8 pack of 1TB flash drives of amazon for $30 and that he was at worst handing out viruses.

I also told the interns to demand full time positions for doing all the work and not be taken advantage of so that didn’t help with the HR director.

  • I saw one of the shows from that tour too except Billy Joel was like just absolutely wasted drunk and kept falling off his piano stool and couldn’t remember the lyrics. He even tossed the bench of the stage at one point and a stage hand had to run out another chair for him.

He kept playing the piano the whole time basically perfectly though which was absolutely wild.

  • Out of a class of 157 only one person I know still does science.

Video game designer, planetarium host, using their trust fund to be a scuba diver professionally, someone went on to be the rubber stamp for helping a company bulldoze land, I went into theater and screens.

1 person went on to JPL and they were already in their 30s owned a house next to the college and had been enlisted in the military. The other person I know working at JPL didn’t go to college and builds the rocket detachment systems for a salary worse than a telemarketer and says they don’t understand math and leaves it to other people to tell them what to do.

We don’t want to pay smart people to ponder the world anymore. They just want people to help maximize profit from it. Apparently we should all come up with new exploitable stuff on our non existent free time.
