It is because Apple has been dominant in the premium smartphone market for years, including in China. Huawei have started to make a big dent in that tier in China after eating Apple’s lunch in the lower price categories.

This is a feature that Huawei brought to market before Apple, which was kind of a first. Until recently, they were just following Apple’s innovations. It’s early and I wouldn’t want one now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if smartphones-that-fold-out-into-tablets was the standard by the end of the decade.

I was at a friends and family barbecue recently, and it just so happened none of the parents there brought tablets for their kids. It was just kids running around the backyard being kids. The parents generally let them do whatever but were attentive enough to prevent them climbing on the shed and stuff.

I can’t remember the last time there wasn’t some kid glued to a screen at that type of party. It was a joy to see.

You are correct in my opinion. I don’t like how many people assume it’s a green arrow or that you must go if able, but I wouldn’t give it up.

I’m not so sure about gas stations. It seems the government too often has to step in to fund remediation of the soil and safe disposal of the underground fuel tanks when they close. The gas stations never want to pay for the inevitable cleanup in advance because it would be too expensive.

Pride would force him to only pay for cancer drugs the “legal” way. He’d fly too close to the sun trying to make enough money to afford them full price without insurance and create his own downfall. Illegally manufacturing expensive cancer drugs under patent and selling them on the black market cheaper would be a very interesting reimagining of BB.

I am getting back into MTG currently after a nearly twenty year lapse. I do like much of how it’s evolved, but every fucking card is a novel now. The math isn’t ever that bad, but it feels like you need a notebook to understand all the cards on the battlefield during a game.

Developing standards, best practices, conventions, etc. One of the most valuable people on my team wrote some incredible quality automations a few years ago, and the only coding he does at this point is updates to them when necessary. By volume, he’s easily bottom 5% this year, but we’d be much worse off without his expertise/advise and the fact he advocates for the team.

This is classic shit management metrics. It would take some time for the rot to set in after using a cudgel approach to a team, and by the time it did, the assholes responsible would have fucked off elsewhere with their huge bonuses.

That may be true in many cases, but some people have more sensitive gums, so it depends how skilled the hygienist is. When I last switched dentists, it was the first time I’d never bled during a visit. Prior dentists told me my oral health was good, but my gums were just very sensitive.
