I was thinking colouring his hair, but I don’t know where WD40 comes in. Unless that’s also a brand of hair colouring.

2·9 days agoImagine that. The library I work in has dedicated rooms for gaming, recording music and video editing. With the equipment, software and games provided by the library.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Why do we have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash soaps?
106·9 days agoSo basically shampoo/soap + conditioner is used to first chemically strip off natural oils and then replace them with chemicals.
Being a short haired dude I struggle to understand how hair, which is basically dead tissue would benefit from moisturizing, though I guess adding oils and silicone will probably make it look more glossy. And obviously give soap more stuff that needs to be removed on cleansing.
I dunno, this seems like a situation that is engineered purely for marketing purposes.

Nice to meet you too.
I occasionally do counting/following breathing at start, especially if there is lots of “noise” in my head. Not sure that would count as actual anapanasati, but I guess that’s a line drawn on water in the end.
I do not find concentrative states offputting as such, just maybe not all that useful for me in the long run.
I do it daily by myself and irregularily with a group of friends of mine (sort of weekly our timetables permitting). I’ve also participated in a few day sesshins once or twice a year for over ten years.
For the optional second he’d surely deserve a bonus, no?
It’s basically an abysmal text editor combined with the worst page layout software the world has ever seen. Creating documents with it very much resembles masturbating with a blender.

Memes@sopuli.xyz•It's painful to not be able to see everything at once.
2·2 years agoI have a nice widescreen monitor standing unused at my desk and I work sitting cross legged in my armchair with a laptop on my lap.

While I agree in principle with the OP, I feel I must point out that that wouldn’t completely make cars unnecessary. There are still remote or sparsely populated areas (a lot actually in my country) where comprehensive public transport is impractical or next to impossible. I’d say we have use for both. Especially so if self driving means being able to summon a car when you need one without needing to own one. Or would that actually count as public transport then…?
