    I had a very old cat of whom I loved much display symptoms similar to this, I took him to the vet and it was pancreatic cancer. Within weeks of diagnosis, he was in too much pain to do anything other than be euthanized. It was terrible, especially as I chose to have him on my lap during the process (which I do not regret, but it fucked me up). His behavior had been odd for a while before I took him in. Odd behavior means a lot with older cats. I wish I could’ve eased his pain or at least have known he was going. Don’t let that happen, if you love the animal; you don’t want to wonder if you could’ve done more.
