cantankerous_cashew@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Russia admits its homegrown consoles can't match the PS5 or Xbox SeriesEnglish1·9 months ago“Hacking” can be as easy as running some script you found online to prowl for vulnerable systems. This doesn’t take a lot of creativity. A lot of people/businesses/governments don’t practice good security hygiene (e.g. apply security patches as soon as they’re available) and end up getting popped by skiddies. I’d be more impressed if these Russian “hackers” could consistently repel attacks, but a simple google search suggests that they are struggling to defend their own turf

And if it does require server-side processing, the data gets deleted after. This stance is totally different from other AI providers who make no such promises about data retention and/or using your inputs to train future models

openvpn
being in the url path, it still works with Wireguard). In my bash script (running on the host system), I usecurl
to retrieve the forwarded port number and then do a POST with that data to the API of my qbt client which is running in another container on port 8080.

Yes, cheese pizza
It’s said that port forwarding is a security risk
Says who? Assuming a fully patched system/client and a properly configured firewall/network, I’d love to hear more about these “risks”.
Also, qBitTorrent works just fine without it.
Only if you don’t care about seeding
cantankerous_cashew@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Gluetun: The Little VPN Client That CouldEnglish7·1 year agoBased. I use gluetun with qbt and ProtonVPN (with port forwarding). Despite this being a tricky config, it was still pretty easy to setup. Can share bash scripts if anyone is interested.

I used to buy from Beatport when I was actively djing. Nice because the tracks are available in 320kbps or lossless. No idea how much Beatport’s cut is though
