No. You’re giving him too much credit and actually making it seem like mr. Musk is in any sense of the word capable of self-reflection. He is a burned out, incompetent tech-junkie and nothing but a hypeman for expensive toys someone else develops. He might be allegedly blackmailed by Russian kompromat or just plainly stupid enough to believe the propagandistic image of strong Putin/Russia. The only scary thing about him is, he never takes a fall for his numerous blunders. Yet, before first-worlders become the ones paying for his mistakes he will rest comfortably upon his dollar throne.
the missing part I felt was that the supposed Germany felt awfully British thanks to some weird character choices (accents, some dialogues. Two male characters drinking liquor and smoking cigars for example) There were several other languages heard through out the movie but I understand making the big part of it in german would not fare well in the subtitle hating US and also is a vision little too megalomaniacal for this movie.
that said i liked the movie very much, i haven’t yet seen Northman but I wouldn’t consider Nosferatu as good as VVitch or Lighthouse. Those two threaded the line between horror and eroticism fine, Nosferatu sometimes landed too hard on the sex stuff and I laughed audiably several times. Sometimes it slipped a little into a parody of the original but I guess there was some intention behind that. Despite all that I still think it was a very good movie.
