Unfortunately, this means relying on Walmart, which isn’t much better, but at least they get toilet breaks.
digitalgadget@kbin.socialto Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•What was supposed to be "The Next Big Thing!" but flopped?1·2 years agoThe worst offenders are the ones who make their mobile site impossible to use so you will download the app. Unmovable banners, incorrectly sized floating menus, and features unnecessarily locked out unless you switch to Desktop mode or use the app. Guess what, I’m definitely not installing it now!
digitalgadget@kbin.socialto Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•What was supposed to be "The Next Big Thing!" but flopped?5·2 years agoI am willing to accept the absolute worst of humanity on the internet, because we can also have so many amazing things that weren’t previously possible.
Accessibility of information to the masses is incredibly important. Isolated populations can learn about the bigger world, get help, and share their experiences. Friends and families can stay connected. People can work together from anywhere, and create value as a team in ways that weren’t previously possible. When I was a kid it was just a dream, and now we are living it.

They’re always designed to be friendly for touch interface and smaller screen size, and are terrible to use on my 30" monitor with a 1/8" cursor. I just want my menu bar, toolbar on the left, and status on the bottom, please and thank you.

digitalgadget@kbin.socialto World News@lemmy.ml•Australian ex-priest has prison sentence extended to 40 years for molesting 72nd child victim10·2 years agoI’m sorry that happened to you. I read recently of another church leader who killed a little girl he was supposed to be driving somewhere in a group, then pretended she never got on the bus, and comforted her family. In the 1970s. Only recently admitted to the murder. I can’t imagine what kind of sociopath takes somebody’s baby and then lies to their face for 50 years about what happened.
Honestly he looks a bit annoyed, impatient. So I’m gonna guess dinner is late.

They were never good. Dry, stale crackers. Tiny, slimy meat circles. Salty cheese cubes that taste more like a chemistry experiment than cured cow’s milk. As kids our palates are motivated to salty fatty food with much less regard for flavor.
Now, if you want Lunchables for grown-ups, get yourself one of those cheese and cracker platters from a nicer grocery store. Pastrami, salami, pepper jack, gouda, and sesame or butter crackers. Delicious.
I kinda like that system!

I had a sinus infection for several years. Doctors threw every antibiotic at me and nothing stuck. Was told to take antihistamines and see if it cleared up.
I ended up with a bunch of dental cavities from dry mouth and said Enough - I got an appointment with another doctor and pleaded with them for a different prescription. Antifungal. A week later it was gone.
Listen here, Kbin has been around for what, a couple weeks? Reddit is two DECADES old. We built it there and we can build it here.
I tried to report a restaurant as closed. I was looking forward to eating there while out of town. It was empty, had a big CLOSED sign in the window, and was surrounded by construction equipment and road barriers. I took pictures of all of this and they still rejected my edit.
They did approve my addition of a river access in the middle of nowhere, though.
