I don’t think this adds anything tbh as peoppe with adb would always be able to bypass this. The issue is that this kills distribution and thats exactly what Google wants - have full competitive control. Once they don’t like your app they’ll block your account and what do you do with your customer base? Give them adb install instructions? That’s basically a death sentence for any app.

Nah you can’t realistically distribute your app with adb requirement. No one will bother to go through such friction.

You can’t do anything with a locked account. Just a screen to do a web cam verification.

This is actually worse than integration in Play Protect which can be disabled very easily. Now you can only install unsigned apps via ADB which means just developers can do it.

Unfortunately sometimes it’s too late. Any platform can lock your account and keep your data until you unlock it and GDPR and similar do not protect against it. That’s what Twitter and LinkedIn started to do - require verification and no way to delete your account if you decline.

I’ve been a mod of several niche subreddits and entire reddit is absolute 100% gamed and astroturfed. Being a mod is incredibly lucrative to the point that’s full career for many mods.

In all fairness it was bound to happen and it’s similar on all social media groups. The power and lack of transparency makes it incredibly easy to start profiting of your positions even when the goal is noble at first. There’s this great podcast on cat drug black markets which perfectly illustrates this.

Nah not a lawyer but there’s precedent where illegal government policy can be held liable for business closing. The contract between a business and government vs citizen and government is very different and you conflate both for whatever reason.

how would refund like this even work? Many businesses closed shop entirely due to these tarrifs, could they sue the government too? This would be crazy and this massive overhead risk could block the entire thing.

Ive been a pirate since the late 90s and it’s a service problem for the most part. So saying a song name on Spotify and getting what you want 99.9% of the time is an unbeatable experience. Not to mention curated and generate playlists. No piracy setup matches this that I’ve seen.

I usualy get the value of 1% and then multiple that back to original, so:

1% of 36 is 0.36 (just move 2 spaces) and thats times 6 which is 2.16

Nothing is more peace than:

• a military parade showing of weapons capable of ending the world
• having a guy who has started and still cotinues the biggest war of 21st century
• having another guy who runs the most brutal and isolated country in the world who’s also contributing to the said war
