I have clients that move to the USA from overseas that see the USA as “safe”.
Unfortunately I have to warn them against getting scammed left and right since it happens to everyone.
I have seen that in our society it’s acceptable to treat people as if their race is inferior. Threaten them. Scare them.
Because… No one says anything to these people. No one holds them accountable, and there’s no consequences for their actions.
Until there is a consequence for racism and threatening others… This will be norm and will only get worse.
At least this is what I see here in a red state. (USA)

I’ve had the opportunity with an old job to work 4-days a week before and I wish this was the norm. 4x10 days should be the standard.
The shop workers.
They are there from 8am-6pm.
Everything closes at 5pm
They will never be able to go to anyone else’s shop.
(We forget about the people that work there have it worse than we do and they seem to figure it out just fine)
I went to a BBQ joint here in Texas a week ago. Got 3/4 lb of brisket and some potato salad for the missus and me.
To my surprise… It costed the same thing as 2 menu items at McDonald’s. Like seriously?..
What’s the point of going to subway and McDonald’s if I can just get some BBQ at a restaurant.

I know GrubHub is bad too but I typically only pay a small fee of 3$ for their service and a tip of 20% to the driver.
Yet UberEATS usually includes a $10-15 UberEATS fee which the employee sees none of. Yet “oh no UberEATS is not profitable, oh no my 3rd yacht isn’t big enough”
