Yes, I still prefer 1 but it’s great. Has ray tracing too.

giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•Tested: Snapdragon-powered Android phones just got a lot faster at ray tracingEnglish2·2 years agoOf course. But it’s still an absolute physical trade off. There is only so much die space and power budget or cost. They will have traded something off.
giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•Tested: Snapdragon-powered Android phones just got a lot faster at ray tracingEnglish4·2 years agoThe only argument you can really have is about die space. If fixed function hardware is on die for ray tracing.
The chip could be cheaper or have a larger rasterization GPU block, AV1 encode block etc etc

UK. I’ll get the odd joke from an iPhone user but we all use WhatsApp and no one really cares.

Buy the 512GB phone if you need it?
giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•The Nvidia Shield TV still holds up four years later, but it’s due for a refreshEnglish3·2 years agoYeah I’ve tried it but I kept having other UI and remote issues so had to stop. I’ve debated whether just breaking the trace on the remote. I hate hate clicking it.

giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•The Nvidia Shield TV still holds up four years later, but it’s due for a refreshEnglish1·2 years agoThere is no reason we NEED a new switch though. Never tegra chips already exist.

giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•The Nvidia Shield TV still holds up four years later, but it’s due for a refreshEnglish1·2 years agoYeah they’ve been great devices for me supporting everything they can with updates. No youtube HDR is probably my biggest bummer with it. Having to have the TV connected to the internet just for that is annoying.
giant_smeeg@feddit.ukto Android@lemdro.id•The Nvidia Shield TV still holds up four years later, but it’s due for a refreshEnglish40·2 years agoI’ve got a 2015 model in the bedroom and the newer 2019 model on the main TV.
It’s still plenty fast for general TV app watching. In a new model I want AV1 and VP9.2 support (Future proof and to give youtube HDR).
HDMI 2.1 to gamestream 4k120hz gameplay. Other than that it still supports absolutely everything. Other enhancements that would be nice:
- New remote without a Netflix button.
- USB C ports
- Better bluetooth radio, really struggles with my xbox controller.
- Other HDMI 2.1 features like faster framerate/HDR switching.
- 2.5gig ports (not necessary at all but why not)

Loved the newer doom games and absolutely loved Prodeus, so should love this too.
Question is do I play switch, PS5 at 120hz or PC with mouse.
(I have a kid so that list is order of how much I can play them)

She got sick of pihole and my firewall blocking her Facebook memes, so she has her own segregated WiFi network, then she’s less of an attack vector for me.
Aslong as she uses 2fa on her main accounts and has a password manager I’m happier than most.

- PLZ LET EDGE BE UR BROWSER
- BRO PLZ, OFFICE SUBSCRIPTION
- LOCATION?
- Let me just install tiktok and FB apps.
My laptop officially supports Ubuntu, think I might make the switch full time. I don’t game on my laptop and most of it’s use is browser, plex and emails…
I was the other way! I never heard of the first game. Then I see the trailer for number 2 and then played both.
