Yeah the soundtrack is good. But imo those hacks aren’t enough to save it. I liked CV 3 though.

Even with a fixed translation, I would not say II was an excellent game.

Iga was not the creator of castlevania. He was the creator of SotN and later games.

Trevor name dropped, but protagonist looks like Sonya – am confused! Given the timeline, I think Trevor must be the old guy and the protagonist is someone else. Perhaps the child of Trevor and Sypha.
Excited for a new castlevania game, but skeptical of these developers. I didn’t like Dead Cells. I hope either that it’s not a roguelike, or that they’ve improved on their formula and fixed the problems with dead cells like pool dilution.

Stoat seems to be very early in development still. Matrix has gotten easier for non-technical users recently.

Yeah but that’s inconvenient ofc.

I feel like Matrix already hit the “elbow point” where it’s getting good fast. It’s very usable, I have ~10 contacts I regularly communicate with on Matrix.

The ui indicates this is possible but I haven’t personally tried it.
Regarding screen sharing, I wasn’t able to capture application sound, but that may be a Linux issue as discord used to have the same problem.

Matrix/Element is p good these days

I’m able to do screen sharing, voice calls, video calls on element.
Since you mentioned not liking numerical attributes or things you need a guide to understand properly, I don’t think you’d like Elden Ring or Dark Souls. But you might like Hollow Knight, which does away with that unnecessary fluff.
Slay the Spire: seconded.

Obviously it wasn’t perfect; it had flaws. There are scenes I would have edited differently, some parts were murky, and some lines wholly redundant. But despite the flaws, it felt fresh. It didn’t feel like Hollywood. Felt like a passion project.
I would like to see more movies with this level of scope.

OK but if it does turn out to be exactly $999 it’s going to be slightly more impressive foresight.

I assume if they just tweak things by hand slightly then it becomes a protected derivative work. For example, if I modify Shakespeare, my modifications are protected.

It could be. But if it was a mistake, what are they going to say? That it was intentional? Companies have a lot of people and management often doesn’t always get a clear idea of who did what and how.

This was for business, not work.

I mean to say, there’s no T&C with retro games.

Granted, DRMs and the DMCA complicate things legally. Not morally though. Retro games don’t have licences though, and courts have ruled that the copy protection systems on those consoles are generally insufficient to count for legal purposes. do you oppose paid romhacks too?
Yeah it’s a great extension chip. There’s a romhack that lets you control your jump arcs, makes it a bit easier.
