I just read Frankenstein, published in 1818, and it’s originally in 3 volumes even tho it’s not that long in total. My assumption was that printing and binding big books was a problem back then but maybe people didn’t read it as one
Actually 🤓 they rather start as undiscovered conspiracies until they leak enough to make people suspicious and form a theory
And I’m not even arrogant even tho I have all the reason to be
Did you have to work today or do you do daily puzzles outside of office hours?
Me, reading this comic: Good job! Enough reading for the week

it refers to the one cake. “You can’t have a cake and eat another one” would be yours.
But I like your attitude! Can you make me two cakes? I’m totally not going to eat both of them (I am but don’t tell anyone)
Both democracy and socialism have a wide range of meanings. AANES has a confederal council democracy, a much more direct democracy than the US or any other nation state. Their concept of socialism is much more radical than Sanders’s.
Maybe it’s out of fashion but when I went to school, this was the goto. I never had one because I wasn’t even ambitious enough to read that small booklet.
