Universal health care is better than whatever you have, for 99.9% of the people 99.9% of the time. And it always was. And always will be.

Sisters? They’re close.
Certainly many people do, though. It depends on the individual.
Accidentally, lol. The point was to mine and sell the data, wasn’t it? Not exactly private.
To be precise, we have no idea what evidence was collected or what it shows. All we know is what the cops said they found, and cops are notorious liars. Just ask Young Thug or Karen Read.
We can assume some of what the cops say is true, but the challenge is that we have no idea which parts.
No…? It is a big country with many states and cities. Shit is complicated. Some things run well, others are delicate. It all depends what you’re looking at.
Why is it still around? That is a peculiar question. Do you imagine the people disappearing? Probably not. So … what do you mean?
I don’t feel that our society is atomized or individualistic, but that’s going to depend on what kind of life you live. Standard advice is to join clubs or volunteer, and after a month or 6 months at any given place, sit down and think about whether it’s helping you achieve the social goals that you want to achieve. If it’s not, walk away.
I wouldn’t say it’s been less moderated, but rather moderated differently.
Of course you know. You just do a lot less of what you’re currently doing… And then you likely to have different outcomes… I’m not saying that you should or shouldn’t do that, but the knowledge is there.
Mainly because you forgot about the rest of the world. In whatever country you’re thinking of, corporations could try that, and then anyone who was hosted abroad would still be online and everyone could just go access them.
The other point is that corporations compete against each other. Sometimes they will work together in order to screw over the general public, but they will also work against each other to make an extra buck. That unity that you think exists on the right, it actually doesn’t.
You got to wait for the trial. Throughout history, but especially this year, we’ve seen many famous trials where the cops blatantly lied about evidence of course in press reports as they often do but also in court on the stand under oath. Just because you heard it doesn’t mean it’s true. Just because someone told you they have evidence of something, doesn’t mean they do.
I think you mean to say he allegedly attacked the ruling class. That whole pesky innocent until proven guilty thing, it’s so irritating.
Sign up for next year before all the slots get full.
Hey we’ll take it. When you have someone who’s not the president controlling the president, that’s not a Democracy. And it’s good to be reminded of that fact on a regular basis.
It’s not baffling. Sad and terrible, but not baffling at all.
I think he’s going to get state charges for murder, that would be the normal thing.
There is an open legal question about what happens if he has done something that could be a crime under both federal and state, because double jeopardy says he can’t be tried twice for the same crime. So if the feds brought charges and then he got pardoned, I don’t think the state can bring relatively identical charges, but apparently this is a question that legal scholars don’t know the answer to, and it would probably end up going to the appeals court if it were to happen.
Of course it’s not going to happen because Biden likes those rich assholes and the timing doesn’t really make sense anyway.
Are you asking whether there are clumsy people, and people who feel clumsy? Yes, yes there are.
I think we all agree that if you’re willing to fuck over large portions of the general public, like he did down there in Argentina, you can probably cut some costs. That approach comes with some risks, because the general public might not like it when you show them how you actually feel, and of course it would make you a terrible human being and disastrous leader.
And hey, having a simpler tax system always sounds good, and in many cases it probably would be good, but there’s a limit to the simplicity because people will find ways to game the system, and when they do so, either you shrug your shoulders or you make your tax laws more complex to deal with it.
When I got paid minimum wage to work at a grocery store, I certainly didn’t give it 100% every day. They paid me minimum wage because they wanted to pay me less, but the law wouldn’t let them. Why should I stress myself out for a job like that? Of course I shouldn’t, and it didn’t bother my bosses that it took it easy on a regular basis.
The same general principle applies to other jobs as well. If you’re fairly low on the totem pole and some the big problem comes up that could affect the company in a major way, you’d be out of your mind to try to tackle it yourself. They don’t pay you enough to risk your job to tackle it yourself. It’s your boss or your boss’s problem.
Jesus.
