Yes! It’s square root is a whole number. I do not know if it will help anything. I am basically grasping at straws…

sep@lemmy.worldto Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Something something case-insensitive file something...126·9 months agoYou want all applications to explisitly support each individual filesystem? That sounds insane. It is absolutly fair to demand some common ground like posix compliance. And a windows user can like anyone else just mount their git repo area using any other filesystem.
sep@lemmy.worldto Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Something something case-insensitive file something...6·9 months agoAbsolutly. And they can just mount the git store using another filesystem. Would be the by far easiest solution.

sep@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games storeEnglish61·10 months agoBasicaly they do not think their game is any good. So if someone takes the deal. I instantly loose interest. I mean if even the developer think it is no fun…
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games storeEnglish4·10 months agoFor there to be competition, there have to be some features. Epic just uses exclusivity deals as an alternative to features.
I am not sure what that is, but there is no competition.
sep@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your current favorite browser for Android?2·10 months agoTotal cookie protection.
Ublock origin.
Breaking the google monopoly to prevent enshitification. Each of those on their own is a good enouh reson imho. But with all 3 firefox is a slam dunk ;)
sep@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your current favorite browser for Android?34·10 months agoFirefox, especialy because of extensions like ublock, and sponsor block. But also because of features like total cookie protection. Where cross site 3rdparty cookies are sandboxed for each site.
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Gabe Newell says no-one in the industry thought Steam would work as a distribution platform—'I'm not talking about 1 or 2 people, I mean like 99%'English7·10 months agoHad to google “pinoneered”, but it say: “developed or be the first to use or apply” and i do not think valve did either.
They have an easy way for developers to implemet drm by require steam services tho.
But in my opinion it is better there are few well understood methods instead of a million uniqe ones. Incase there is a world this have to be reverse engeneered.
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Gabe Newell says no-one in the industry thought Steam would work as a distribution platform—'I'm not talking about 1 or 2 people, I mean like 99%'English1·10 months agoSplit the wheel and copied it on the school copier. ;) much easier the copying the whole manual that was sometimes needed
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Gabe Newell says no-one in the industry thought Steam would work as a distribution platform—'I'm not talking about 1 or 2 people, I mean like 99%'English21·10 months agoSteam pioneered always on drm? Do you have a source? I thougt that was ubisoft and maxis primarily. That developers use steam services to implement their always on drm is something else. But it is the developers that have to click that checkbox.
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Gabe Newell says no-one in the industry thought Steam would work as a distribution platform—'I'm not talking about 1 or 2 people, I mean like 99%'English61·10 months agoCompanies can choose to be a part of the solution, or a part of the problem. And i can choose to spend my money on the solution. I would love some redundancy on the linux gaming store front tho, just valve seams a bit fragile. And afaik gog or anyone else can also use proton or???
sep@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Gabe Newell says no-one in the industry thought Steam would work as a distribution platform—'I'm not talking about 1 or 2 people, I mean like 99%'English6·10 months agoYou can easily zip up a steam game and send it yes. And if the game developer did not implement any drm, You can play it as well. It would be piracy tho… so i support that ;)
Thank you, i was hoping there was something official that i had missed.
I also read now that the planets in the solarsystem will all be visible in a line February 28.
Sounds like a disaster movie… all the planets align in a year that is a perfect square.
Edit: i wonder when that happened last or when that will happen again…
