Mana series might be up your alley although a bit dated, up to 3 players. similar graphics to crystal chronicles. I’d recommend Secret of Mana (HD), I think you can recruit two party members before the first dungeon. it the voice acting is bad, you can switch to Japanese dub
Digimon TCG hack of Pokemon TCG for gameboy (it’s hard)
some of the best cheap games I’ve played Portal, Stardew, Ori
Crash Bandicoot got me hooked on crystals

Grow Home is amazing, I need a stronger PC for the sequel Grow Up
Age of Mythology, and Titan Quest 1+2 (spinoff by same devs). There’s a DS tactical spinoff of Age of Empires that’s not very good but worth trying. Torchlight might be similar to Titan Quest.
I’ve also been playing Saiyuki: Journey West (PS1) which is based on Buddhist/Hindu mythology. ‘Journey to the West’ also inspired Wu Kong, ‘Enslaved: Odyssey to the West’, and Dragon Ball series.
God of War (Greek n Norse), Darksiders (Christianity), Immortals: Fenyx Rising (Greek), Hades (Greek), Hellblade: Senua (Norse), Okami (Japanese), Folklore (Irish), Dante’s Inferno (Christianity). You’re not really ‘playing as’ myths but mostly fighting them in these series.
chao, miyoko, and violife are usually the best. I don’t have a favorite yet, but making your own cheese is easy: soak cashews, grind them up, mix in seasonings & refrigerate. alternatively silken tofu or plant milk can be boiled to make cheese as well
