  • I absolutely love doing everything on the computer and can’t stand writing things by hand anymore. I’ve always learned simply by listening — instructors that force students to take notes were the worst because I would be too busy scrambling to write things down than actually listen and learn.

All of this goes out the window when it comes to foreign language though. I have to do everything old school: textbooks, pencil and paper, and if it’s a non-Latin character set I have to write the same characters over and over for hours.

  • My internet is crazy fast but what I’m trying to accomplish is this: if the internet bandwidth were to decrease dramatically or become crazy congested, I’d like the router to prioritize some traffic between the LAN and WAN.

Let’s imagine I only have a 20 Mbps connection and I have a someone on a FaceTime call, for sake of argument everyone else is downloading huge software updates. I want the call to be prioritized.

I understand the ISP will drop DSCP but internally my AP will translate that to WMM no? Again, my AP is fantastic but in theory I’d like it to prioritize the call’s packets. Those obviously pass through the router from WAN to LAN so I’m not understanding the argument that this should only be done based on host and port.
