    Yes but it’s small enough that most people haven’t heard of it.

    The trick would be to get more users but not so many that it becomes a household name and is then added to the list of sites requiring verification

      Ofcom just handed a small porn site no-one’s ever heard of a £1 million fine. Pretty sure they know about Lemmy.

        Didn’t they also fine 4chan who simply refused to pay? Can they enforce these fines?

          The fine increases by £300 every day it goes unpaid. They can enforce the fines once they find the operator of the site. In this case, it’s registered at Companies House so that guy is going to have a very expensive new year.
